Reporting into the Destination Manager, the Airport Team Leader will be responsible for leading, motivating and coaching a team of Airport based Customer Helpers to deliver VIP customer service at all times.

You will plan your team’s rosters so that they are on hand to ensure our customers safe and efficient transfer to their resort on as well as at the end of their holiday, to greet our customers as they arrive safely back at the airport, to return to the UK.

You will also be the team’s first point of contact for advice, as well as working with our transfer agents and colleagues to help deliver feedback to improve service delivery. Representing our Jet2holidays’ values at all times is also essential to the success of this role.

The British Vice Consulate in Heraklion is part of a world-wide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is looking to recruit a Consular Officer for March till October 2019.

Provide high quality, professional and efficient consular services to visiting and resident British nationals in Crete. Be a fully engaged and a proactive member of the Crete consular team, the Greece/Cyprus Network and the wider Europe South Network, to contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and full Consular Strategy delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, as an integral part of the Consular Team, you will:

Assistance (60% of time)

  • Provide consular assistance to British Nationals in all cases that might arise in the wider consular district. Maintain high level of awareness of consular policy and utilise appropriately and effectively the whole range of IT and other tools necessary to achieve a high standard of customer service, with a view to consular excellence. Issue Emergency Travel Documents. Provide appropriate advice and carry out any notarial service, based on the hub/spoke agreement with Athens Consular Section. Cooperate fully with local and wider team, including the Consular Contact Centre and Global Response Centre, if and when a case requires it.

Policy & network projects (10% of time)

  • Take responsibility for and lead on implementation of consular policy/network projects, following consultation with Vice Consul, aiming to improve our services. Take part in Greece/Cyprus network and regional projects and events, as and when necessary. Engage appropriately with local and wider regional consular team/s. Share and communicate through local and regional channels.

Responsible for creating, implementing and managing one (1) large crowdfunding, fundraising campaign.

Responsibilities

Analyze information to determine and recommend the most suitable crowdfunding site
Oversee all aspects of a large fundraising campaign.
Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the fundraising campaign, including fundraising goals, budget recommendations, vendors, volunteer goals, timelines.
Act as an on-site manager during the campaign fundraising event, overseeing activities, vendors, and volunteers to ensure satisfaction of participants, and resolutions of problems.
Identify target audiences and network with corporations, community groups, schools, and key donors to engage their support of fundraising campaign.
Develop/modify online marketing strategy to promote the fundraising campaign through social media.
